Food Adventures are fun and affordable food experiences for children of all ages.
They are the perfect addition to your learning program for any group setting for children:
Kindergarten, long day care, family day care, School age (Prep to Year 3) and outside school hours care (OSHC) services.
Why Food Adventures?
Food Adventures are all about having FUN with food. It’s true that kids learn to like new foods more easily amongst friends or somewhere other than home. How often have you heard the story “He won’t eat that at home, but he’ll eat it at Grandma’s”?
During a Food Adventure, children get the chance to touch, smell and perhaps taste food without pressure. At Kids Dig Food we understand that children learn to like food in their own time and their own way. Simply the opportunity to observe others quietly can help a child along their own food exploration path.
Sessions are based on seasonal produce and always include a selection of more familiar foods along with some interesting and unusual foods. Hands on seed-to-table adventures focus on where food comes from, and are literally a chance for everyone to get their hands dirty.
